Pine Plains, NY - Gail F. Lamothe, 63, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.

She was born on May 20, 1951 in Sharon, CT the daughter of the late George and Patricia (Smith) Kelly.

Gail pursued a career in cosmetology at Dutchess B.O.C.E.S. She became owner and operator for forty two years of Gail's Beauty Shop.

She was an amazing cook who loved to bring family and friends together with her dishes. Also she was very talented with making and arranging floral designs.

On September 2, 1990 in Wappingers, NY she married Michael F. Lamothe. He predeceased her on November 24, 1998.

Survivors include a sister, Darlene Hicks and her husband Brian of Pine Plains, NY; a brother, George Kelly Jr. of Pine Plains, NY; a nephew, Brian Hicks and his wife Danielle; a niece Kelly Hicks; a great nephew, Logan Rielly; two step-sons, Joshua Lamothe and his wife Melissa of Warwick, RI; Jeremiah Lamothe and his wife Elizabeth of Arizona; three grandchildren, Johnathan, Nolan and Emma Lamothe; a nephew, Patrick Kelly and his wife Heather along with their two children, Addison and Maclain; and a nephew Jeff Kelly.

A loving companion of thirteen years, Joseph Howery of Floyd, VA; a best friend of many many years Judy Harpp and family.

She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Kelly on February 14, 2003.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the First United Presbyterian Church of Pine Plains, with Rev. Carol Miller officiating.

Interment will be private.
