Clinton Corners, NY - Frederick G. Christiansen, 72, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 1, 2012 after a long illness.

He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on April 17, 1940 the son of Einar and Rose (Ancona) Christiansen.

He had a long and successful career as an electrical engineer.

He was an amazingly talented man who created many things with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking, writing, photography and most of all being with his family.

On September 22, 1962 in Peekskill, NY he married Suzann (Fesselmeyer) Christiansen.

In addition to his loving wife Suzann of fifty years, survivors include his five children and their spouses, Fred Christiansen, Kate Christiansen Aubry, Angela and Stephen Baumgartner; Einar and Kimberly Christiansen; Suzann and James Conners. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, Tommy, Nick, Paul, Ashley, Deanna, Michelle, Michael, Stephen, Ryan, Emily, Samantha, Suzy and CJ.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He will live in our hearts forever.

Calling hours are 3 to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, December 5, from Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church Copake Falls, NY with Fr. George Brennan officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Fred Christiansen Grant to aid those in need of assistance with Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's Assoc. "Fred Christiansen Grant" in the memo to 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 102, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
