Frederick H. Boughton, 77 of Main Street in Copake Falls, NY passed away on Saturday November 19, 2011 at Fairview Hospital in Gt. Barrington, MA.
Mr. Boughton was born on July 3, 1934 in Copake Falls, a son of George R. and Mabel (Madison) Boughton.
For over 53 years and until the time of passing Mr. Boughton was the owner and operator of Head's Service Station on Route 22 in Copake Falls.
He was active in his community as a lifetime member of the Copake Fire Company and as a member of the Episcopal Church of St. John in the Wilderness.
He enjoyed his yearly camping trips to Maine but his greatest joy was the love and involvement that he shared with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
On October 2, 1955 in Copake Falls he married Virginia Rothrock Boughton who survives him at home.
Besides his beloved wife Virginia he leaves his loving daughters and their spouses, Deborah and Reginald Crowley and Donna and Ralph Platt, both of Copake Falls. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Regina Shea, Kelly Crowley, Jessica Platt and Kaitlyn Platt and his great grandchild, Summer Shea.
He was pre - deceased by four brothers, George, Harold, Clayton and Frank.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 11AM from the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake with the Rev. John Thompson, rector of St. John in the Wilderness officiating.
Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday November 22, 2011 from 4 - 7 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.
