Copake - Frederick Barton, 46, passed away Saturday at his home in Catskill.
Fred was a former resident of Ancramdale, Copake and Florida. He was a member of Local #19, and was employed throughout the region as a carpenter.
Fred was a talented artist and loved to paint; he also enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting.
Born August 22, 1963 he was the son of Karen (Schweizer) Barton who passed away December 31, 1996 and Kenneth F. Barton of San Antonio, FL.
Fred is survived by his father; a brother Brian, and his wife Lisa Barton of Saratoga Springs; a sister Kristin, and her husband Mark McNary of Saratoga Springs; his paternal grandmother Carolyn Barton of Ancramdale; five nieces and nephews, Jacob, Claire, Eliza and Charles Barton, and Quinn McNary; as well as his aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Podris, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barton, Richard Barton, Robert Barton, and Robert Beveridge.
In addition to his mother he was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Kenneth Barton, his maternal grandparents Harry and Winifred Schweizer, and his uncle Al Beveridge.
Calling hours are Wednesday, 6 to 8 PM, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 AM, Route 22, Copake. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
