Frank Edward Peteroy of Copake NY died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022
Born March 14, 1934, Staten Island, NY, a son of John and Connie Peteroy, both of Calabria Italy and later Staten Island New York.
Frank is survived by his wife Marcia Ann Peteroy, his son Evan Peteroy, his daughter Alain Peteroy and her husband Herbert Bergquist, his granddaughter Amelia Ann Peteroy Bergquist, his sister Marie Sino, his brother’s wife Lynn Peteroy, nieces and nephews Tina Schwarz, Lisa Sino, Joseph Sino, Lauren Peteroy Kelly and her husband Jimmy Kelly, Matthew Peteroy, great nieces and nephews Mackenzie and Chloe, Paul and Joseph. He was predeceased by his parents and younger brother Richard Peteroy.
After graduating from New Dorp HS in Staten Island in 1952, Frank served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean War and then attended Pratt Institute on the GI Bill. Graduating from Pratt in 1961 with a degree in industrial design he later became registered architect working in NYC for his career and raising his family in Brooklyn. In 2002, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce awarded Frank the Building Brooklyn Awards Winner for Industrial Design for his work with Sahadi Fine Foods. Frank also volunteered for many years on various boards in Copake. This past spring Frank and Marcia celebrated 61 years of marriage, residing at their Sunset/Sunrise Bed & Breakfast in Copake, NY.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held in March 2023.
