Frank M. Etchegary, 93 of Claverack, NY and a former longtime resident of Torrington, CT passed away on January 1, 2015 at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, NY.
He was born on November 22, 1921 in Highbury, Nova Scotia, Canada the son of John and Florence (Parry) Etchegary.
Frank and his wife Mildred moved to Claverack in 1997 from Torrington. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Torrington Company, a manufacturer of auto and airplane parts.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II.
Frank was an over 40 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #974 in Torrington.
Survivors include his wife Mildred Etchegary of Claverack, NY; sons John Etchegary of Waterbury, CT and Bruce Etchegary of Torrington. He also leaves three grandchildren, Emily and Jennifer Etchegary of Torrington and Traci Wells of Harwinton, CT along with two great grandchildren, Sonya and Devon Wells also of Harwinton.
He was pre deceased by two children, Alan Etchegary and Gail Etchegary.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
