Pine Plains - Frank D. Bossolini, 78, of Pine Plains, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Born August 13, 1932 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late John and Jennie (Grassi) Bossolini.
Mr. Bossolini graduated from the Stissing Mountain High School in 1950.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Frank was a production analyst for IBM in Poughkeepsie and Kingston for thirty seven years until his retirement in 1991.
He was an active member of the Church of the Regeneration in Pine Plains, a charter member of the Pine Plains VFW Post 5519, an active member of the American Legion Shacameco Post 426, and a Life Member of the Pine Plains Hose Company and Rescue Squad.
Frank also served on the Pine Plains Free Library board of directors, and was a current board member of the Little Nine Partners Historical Society. He was a former scout master for the Pine Plains Boy Scout Troop 45 as well.
On July 30, 1966 in Merlin, Ontario, Canada, he married Margaret Patricia Gilhula. She survives him at home.
In addition to his loving wife Pat, survivors include his two sons, Francis Bossolini and his wife Marybeth of Troy, NY; Joseph Bossolini and his wife Caroline of Frisco, TX; four grandchildren, Grace, Sophia, Cameron and Maggie Bossolini; and several cousins in Pine Plains and Italy.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Church of the Regeneration, 18 Pine St., Pine Plains, NY. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, NY. Rev. Mike Shafer will officiate.
