Frances A. Neil

Philmont - Frances A. Neil, 97, of Route 344 in Copake Falls, NY died peacefully on June 29, 2010 at the Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philmont, NY.

She was born on October 21, 1912 in New York City, the daughter of the late John and Annie (Sims) Zirm.

Mrs. Neil was a parishioner of the Episcopal Church of St. John in the Wilderness in Copake Falls, NY. She was also an active member of the Copake Grange and a member of the former Cullin Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in the Roe Jan area.

On July 15, 1956, Frances married Burt Neil in White Plains, NY. He predeceased her in 1986.

Survivors include a step-son, Ronald Neil and his wife Babette of Naples, FL, and a step-daughter Anetta Grady and her husband John of Tuscon, AZ. She also leaves cousins in England and will be dearly missed by her many caregivers.

Mrs. Neil was predeceased by a brother, John E. Zirm.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 10 to 11 AM at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake, NY.

A memorial service will follow at 11 AM also on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. John Thompson, rector of the Episcopal Church of St. John in the Wilderness officiating.

Private burial will be in the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
