Flora Hill

Pine Plains, NY - Flora Hill, 90, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

She was born on November 4, 1923 in Pine Plains, NY the daughter of the late Joseph and May (Pectal) Houle.

Mrs. Hill was an assembler for Schatz Federal Bearing Company in Poughkeepsie, NY.

On October 20, 1946 in Pine Plains, she married Floyd R. Hill. He predeceased her on April 17, 2008.

Mrs. Hill loved to read, cook, work in her garden and travel to Schroon Lake to their cabin.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Hill of Craryville, NY; two sons, Richard Hill and his wife Marguerite of Pine Plains; and Douglas Hill of Copake; four grandchildren, Michael Hill, Daniel, Jeffrey and Thomas Mosher.

She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 AM, on Wednesday, May 28, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Gregg Higgins officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Pine Plains Methodist Church, 3023 Church St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.
