Gallatin, NY – Fay W. Brusie, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Livingston Hill Nursing Center in Livingston, NY.
He was born at home on July 2, 1925 in Gallatin, NY the son of William and Verna (Hinsdale) Brusie.
Fay was a model maker for IBM in Kingston, NY.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved being outside. He also enjoyed gambling.
He served with the United States Army during WW II.
On May 29, 1954 in Pleasant Valley, NY he married Jean (Masten) Brusie. She survives him at home.
In addition to his loving wife Jean, survivors include three daughters, Nancy Wengrowski of Ancram, NY; Kim Guentert and her husband Paul of FL; Judy McCarthy and her husband John of NC; three sons, Gary Brusie of Ancram, NY; John Brusie and his girlfriend Linda of Ancram, NY; Dean Brusie and his wife Karen of VA; five grandchildren, three great grandsons and several cousins.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Vedders Cemetery in Gallatin, NY
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Ancram Fire Company PO Box 8 Ancram, NY 12502. or Gallatin Reformed Church 325 Doodletown Rd. Ancram, NY 12502.
