Stanfordville, NY - Evelyn Hughes, 85, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.
She was born in Yonkers, NY on November 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Cavagnaro.
On July 13, 1947, she married Jack Hughes in Yonkers, NY. Jack and Evelyn moved to Stanfordville in 1962. He predeceased her on March 2, 2007.
Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and worked at the Carousel during the late sixties and early seventies.
Survivors include her son John Hughes and his wife Gail of Stanfordville, NY; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Steve Cavagnaro and Lewis Cavagnaro.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10 am at the St. Mary's Cemetery, 64 Hunns Lake Rd., Bangall, NY, with Rev. Bill Mayhew officiating.
