Eunice M. Swart

Eunice M. Swart, 89, life long resident of Pine Plains, passed away peacefully at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck. She was born the daughter of Wilbur and Margaret (Turbarg) Doyle on December 8, 1933.

Eunice was a natural caregiver who worked for many years at Ferncliff Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After which she took care of and watched after her grandchildren. You could say she loved young and seniors alike and had a special place in her heart for cats. Over the years she enjoyed traveling with her family, especially trips that involved the ocean. She kept busy with her cross word puzzles and word searches.

Eunice is survived by her five children, Linda (Paul) Treanor, Jim (Tina) Swart, Doreen (Jim) Weisner, David (Justine) Swart and Melissa Swart. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, with one on the way. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Swart in 2001, in addition to her 5 siblings.

In honoring Eunice’s wishes, no formal services will be observed. Donation’s in her memory are asked to be made to either the Thompson House, the Columbia & Greene County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
