Elsie Mcbroom

Pine Plains, NY - Elsie McBroom, 86, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

She was born in Manhattan, NY on December 20, 1924 the daughter of the late Emanuel and Rose (Arce) Jiminez.

Mrs. McBroom worked in manufacturing for K & E Taconic Products in Millerton, NY.

She was a hardworking Mother, Loving Wife and loved animals.

Survivors include three sons, John McBroom and his wife Kathy of Ancramdale, NY; Jimmy McBroom Jr. of Pine Plains, NY; Phillip Helenek of Queens, NY; four grandchildren, Magnolia, Marisa, Jimmy, Jesse; five great grandchildren, Irene, Stephen, Alex, Anna and Dylan; a niece, Maryanne and her husband Carlos Rivera of Philadelphia, PA.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy E. McBroom in 1998, two sisters, Rose Arce and Estella Arce. She was also predeceased by two nephews, Manual Figueroa and Daniel King Torres.

Calling hours were held on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 10 to 10:45 am at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, April 4, at 11 am at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Pine Plains, NY with Fr. William White officiating.

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains, NY.
