Elizabeth J. Lauro

Elizabeth J. Lauro, 78 of Hillsdale, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Fairview Commons in Gt. Barrington, MA.

She was born on March 30, 1935 in Hudson, NY to the late George and Martha (Parchuck) Tuczynski.

Mrs. Lauro was a graduate of Hudson High School and had been employed by the United States Postal Service in Hillsdale and Hudson.

On November 7, 1954 in Stockport, NY she married Michael Lauro. Mr. Lauro pre deceased her in 1998.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Mellan and husband Matthew of Egremont, MA and son James Lauro and wife Kim of Colonie, NY. She also leaves her grandchildren, Stephen Pfeiffer and wife Samantha, Daniel Bigelow and wife Vernetta and James Lauro Jr. Also her great grandchildren, Myles Pfeiffer, Daniel Bigelow Jr. and Angel Marie Bigelow. She is also survived by her brother Paul Tuczynski and his wife June along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Michael she was also pre deceased by a brother Donald Tuczynski.

Friends are invited and may call on Sunday December 1, 2013 from 2 - 5 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 2, 2013 at 11 AM from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope, 8074 State Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY.
