Elaine Wilma Fletcher

Elaine Wilma Fletcher passed on July 27, 2023 in Palatine Bridge, NY at the age of 90.

She was born August 22, 1932 in Dumont, NJ to William A. and Christina (Kautt) Kretzschmar.  She had two siblings, William Kretzschmar (Barbara) and Marilyn Hendrickson (John Lars), both of whom predeceased her.

She married William Guy Fletcher on May 22, 1955 and had been a resident of Pine Plains, NY since their marriage.  Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death in 2006.  They had 5 sons: Dale W Fletcher (deceased), Bradford T Fletcher (Carol) of Eldora, IA, William B Fletcher (deceased), Mark S Fletcher (Deb) of Cobleskill, NY and Drew V Fletcher (Judy) of Papillion, NE. She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Elaine was a long-time employee of the Stissing National Bank in Pine Plains, and volunteered as a town elections clerk, was a member of St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Pine Plains, was involved in the Lions Club, as well as other community and school related events and groups.

A memorial Mass will be held on August 19, 2023 at 11:00AM from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Pine Plains.  There will be a reception following the memorial and will be announced at service. Interment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
