Edella Ann Macarthur

Edella Ann "Cissy" MacArthur, 67, of Troy passed away on December 21, 2023. She was born on January 12, 1956 in Great Barrington to Leland “Red” and Ruth (Kenyon) Miller. Cissy graduated from Red Hook Central School and went to work for Wassaic Developmental center where she worked as a secretary. Edella was also the assistance secretary at Camp Anne AHRC for 10 years. She was also the former town clerk & court clerk for the Town of Ancram. In her spare time she enjoyed DJ’ing locally for family and friends. Cissy was also an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ancram where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Cissy is survived by her daughter, Jamie MacArthur, her four grand children; Vincent, Riley & Levi Miles, and Penelope McBroom. Her siblings, Leland, Douglas, Gladys & Debbie. In addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2024 at 1:00pm from St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2364 NY-82, Ancram, New York. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations in Cissy’s memory may be made to  St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ancram.
