Dora Jane Seaver

Dora Jane Seaver (96) of Copake, NY passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 29, 2024 at the Ghent Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Ghent, NY. Dora was born July 4, 1927 in Somers, NY, a daughter of late Margaret Brown Simmons and Felix Bernardo. Dora was one of eleven siblings; Virginia, Sonny, Billy, Peggy, Joey, Johnny, Hannah, Susie, Jimmy and Winnie.

Dora was employed for 37 years by Lakeville Precision Molding, now known as Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in Lakeville, Ct. She also waitressed at Friendly Diner and was a long time member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Dora was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted wife to husband Walter (predeceased). From her first marriage to Bernard Reilly, she was a loving mother of (10) children: Bernard, David, Joseph (predeceased), George (predeceased), Trudy (predeceased), Jane (predeceased), Catherine (predeceased), and triplets (predeceased at a very young age). Dora was also blessed to have three generations of grandchildren. Dora’s strong love of family and unwavering faith were the bedrocks of her life.

Dora was known fondly for her gifts of arts & crafts, she enjoyed baking and loved animals. Dora’s smile and “thumbs up” spirit will be remembered and cherished!
