Donald A. Andersen

Donald A. Andersen, 83, of The Fountains of Millbrook, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home.

He was born January 31, 1929 in Rhinebeck, NY. He was the son of Albert A. Andersen and Erma Schwarzkopfs Andersen of Rhinebeck, NY.

Donald worked as a heavy machine equipment operator for IUOE Engineers for many years. Upon retiring, he moved to the Florida Keys with his wife, where he enjoyed boating and fishing.

Donald was predeceased by his brother Roderick Andersen.

Donald married Carola J. Baldwin on March 7, 1982. She survives at home in Millbrook. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter Diane and her husband David Thorsen of Louisville, KY, his son David Andersen of Jacksonville, FL and his step children John T. Baldwin and wife Toni, Colleen Baldwin Daley and husband Jeff, Terry F. Baldwin and partner Sheri, grandchildren; David W. Thorsen and wife Candy and Cpt. Amanda Thorsen Radford, step grandchildren; Timothy Baldwin and wife Jen, Shannon Baldwin Ferguson, Christopher A. Daley and wife Stephanie and Brandon J. Daley, great grandchild Beckham X. Thorsen and step great- grandchildren; Tyler, Brittney and Katherine Baldwin, Dudley Ferguson, Aaron, Kaden and Connor Daley. He is also survived by four nephews.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 1st at 2pm at Peck and Peck Funeral Home in Pine Plains, New York. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Donald A. Anderson and sent to:
