Left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving family; his wife Cindy (Bonafide) Miller of 48 years, his daughters Melissa Miller and Jennifer (David) Mosher, and was “Grampy” to his adoring granddaughters, Elora and Sophia Mosher who were the lights of his life. He is 1 of 7 brothers and sisters; Betty Elaine Miller, Marcia (Dennis) Brunow, Wayne (Fran) Miller, Nancy Luther, George Miller and Dennis (Shelley)Miller. He was a co-chairman of the FASNY softball tournament in 1992. In the volunteer fireman softball league, he pitched for the Copake Fire Department’s softball team and also as the Coach, lead the team to many first place victories.
In 2020, Deryll became a 50 year life member of the Copake Fire Company and was recognized by FASNY for his dedicated services.
In both 2017 and 2020, he was honored by the Red Knights Motorcycle Club for his services with the Copake Fire Company.
Deryll was a hard-working man that would do anything for his family and his friends. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Yankees and wrestling.
