David Ramos, 48 of Route 27 in Churchtown, NY passed away suddenly on Wednesday January 12, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.
He was born on November 3, 1961 in Atlixco, Mexico a son of Angela Ramos DeJesus of Atlixco, Mexico and the late Francisco Ramos Rosas.
Mr. Ramos had been employed as a chef at the Crossroads Diner in Hillsdale for over 15 years. For the past 5 years he worked for the Montaque Oil Company in Philmont.
He was an active volunteer with the Churchtown Fire Company assisting at many functions.
David is survived by his wife, Dore (Wadman) Ramos of Churchtown; his mother of Mexico; two stepchildren, Ann Marie Jennings of Philmont and Thomas Joseph Griffin III of Kinderhook. He also leaves his sisters, Guadalupe, Luz Maria and Sofia along with his brothers, Antonio, Javier and Delfino. In addition David is survived by two grandchildren, Caitlyn Rose Jennings and Daniel Jennings.
Along with his father, he was pre - deceased by his special grandfather, Andreas Ramos Perez.
Friends are invited and may call on Monday January 17, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
