David J. Decker

David J. Decker, 59, of Elizaville, passed away in the comfort of his home with his loving wife by his side on November 21, 2023. David was born on October 23, 1964 in Poughkeepsie to Earl and Josephine (Jones) Decker. David was an electrician by trade and worked locally for many years. He loved the ocean and taking his family on yearly trips to Cape Cod. An avid card player who enjoyed poker and even played in Las Vegas. He enjoyed golfing in the summer months with his family and friends.

David is survived by his loving wife Lisa Decker. His four children, Anastasia “Staci” Decker, Alisa, Daniel and Gavin Burger. His granddaughter who was the apple of his eye, Mara Winters. His mother, Josephine Decker and his siblings, Patricia Landeck and Earl “Dutchie” Decker. Very special friend Frank Pellegrino. In addition to nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family is asking that you join them for final hand of poker to honor David’s life on December 10, 2023 at the Red Hook VFW Post, 30 Elizabeth Street from Noon to 3:00PM. Interment will take place privately.
