Darra J. Finkle

Stanfordville, NY - Darra J. Finkle, 76, a longtime resident of Stanfordville, NY, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

She was born on June 9, 1937 in Bangall, NY the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie (Hart) Dillinger Sr.

Darra worked as a secretary for the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Millbrook, NY; Prior to that she was a secretary at the New York State Police Troop K Headquarters. She was also a bus driver for the Pine Plains Central school district.

On April 28, 1957 in Rensselaer, NY, she married Fredrick C. Finkle Jr. He survives her at home. Mrs. Finkle was a member of the United Church of Christ in Stanfordville.

In addition to her husband Fred, survivors include three sons, Mark (Camille) Finkle; Jeffrey Finkle (Erin Gillen); and Bryan Finkle; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Finkle; a brother, William (Janet) Dillinger of Stanfordville, NY. She was predeceased by seven sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, August 8 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567, with Rev. Chris Boyd, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stanford Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 7, at the funeral home.
