Stanfordville, NY - Dante A. DeNardis, 79, went home to heaven on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
He was born on September 16, 1936 in Tarrytown, NY, the son of the late Erasmo and Annina (Campilii) DeNardis.
Dante was a member of the Local 21 Plumber's and Steamfitters Union for fifty five years. He was skilled in many trades and did most of the work restoring his circa 1780 home.
He enjoyed gardening and received many compliments on his beautiful gardens.
Dante was a proud owner and restorer of his 1936 V8 Ford Coupe and enjoyed driving it through the beautiful country roads and taking it to car shows where the car won many awards.
In 1955 he married Barbara (Hoke) DeNardis in Mt. Carmel Church. She survives him at home. They moved there family to Stanfordville in 1970.
In addition to his loving wife Barbara, survivors include Raymond W. (Susan); Dante D. (Kimberly); David A. (Susanna); Katherine Hernandez (Paul) and Blair E. Strang (TJ Turnrose); as well as twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He also leaves his two sisters, Ines DeNardis of Elmsford, NY; Ida Flynn of Brookfield, CT; a brother-in-law, Richard H. (MaryAnn) Hoke; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Floyd (Barbara) Hoke.
Calling hours are 1 to 4 pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 and again on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 9 to 10 am at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. George Brennan officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery / Pine Plains, NY.
