Dante Bruno Carpanini, 85 of Gallatin, NY passed away on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.
He was born on March 6, 1928 in Manhattan, NY the son of Peter and Virginia (Strinati) Carpanini.
Mr Carpanini was a retired foreman for the New York City Department of Transportation.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy and was a longtime social member of the Ancram Fire Company.
On January 24, 1953 in Manhattan he married Alice V. (Corcoran) Carpanini who survives him at home.
Surviving besides his wife Alice are his children, Ginger D'Armiento of Gallatin, Daniel Carpanini of Queens, NY and Alice Boice and husband Patrick of Gallatin. He also leaves his grandchildren, Joey, Danny and Ashley Rose D'Armiento and Patrick and Nolan Boice. In addition, his brothers, Louis "Gino" Carpanini and his wife Joan of Whitestone, NY and Anthony "Tony" Carpanini of New Jersey along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was pre deceased by a son in law, Joseph A. D'Armiento.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 2 PM from Our Lady of Hope Parish, Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY with the Rev. George Brennan officiating.
Friends are invited and may call also on Saturday June 29, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake NY.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
