Gallatin- Daniel J. Larkin, 73, passed away on March 2, 2021 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.  He was born on December 14, 1947 in Yonkers, to the late Joseph and Louise (Masse) Larkin. Dan earned a Bachelors in Political Science from Niagara University, which fueled his passion for politics. He worked for many years at IBM in Poughkeepsie. Dan will be remembered for his love of gardening and his highly skilled “Green Thumb”.  Above all else he was a devoted family man.

On May 26, 1979 in Red Hook, NY he married the late Alyce (Remsburger) Larkin who passed away February 5, 2019.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Kristina Larkin of Rhinecliff, NY; his siblings, Kathleen, Denis, Jeanne, Maureen and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son, Daniel J. Larkin Jr. on August 20, 2004.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 10 AM from St. Anthony’s Church in Pine Plains, NY. with Rev. William White, officiating. Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing procedures will be adhered to during the funeral Mass.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dyson Center for Cancer Care 45 Reade Pl. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
