Daniel J. Hoysradt, 61, lifelong area resident passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1963, in Hudson to the late Henry and Helen (Jessup) Hoysradt. Dan worked for 32 years at the mill in Ancram before his retirement. He was a 10 year member of the Ancram Fire Company, and enjoyed sports. Especially football, baseball and golf. In his younger years Dan played both football and baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting as well. Daniel was a friend to many and would help anyone in need. His wonderful sense of humor will be remembered for generations.
Daniel is survived by his loving companion of 17 years, Dawn Gardina. His children, Daniel J. Hoysradt Jr. and his wife, Lindsey (Bessman) Hoysradt, Kaitlin and Jeremy Kuykendall, and Hunter Hoysradt. His two adoring grandchildren, Sophia and Isabella. He is also survived by his sisters Judith Hatch, Susan Hamburger and his brother David Hoysradt in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Hank, Pat, and Russell Hoysradt.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their care and support for Dan over the last several months. Especially his aide Estelle and nurse Michele from hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
A time for sharing memories and offering condolences will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm, on December 28, 2024 at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 8063 Route 22, Copake, New York. Where a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
