Canaan-Christopher Hoffman, 64, a former resident of Pine Plains, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.
He was born on July 16, 1948 in Utica, NY.
A graduate of the Stissing Mountain High School, Christopher went on to graduate from Cornell University with a Bachelor's in Business.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Christopher was formerly a manager for Agway in Millerton, Torrington and Pine Plains, and went on to co-own the Dam View Farm in Pine Plains.
He is survived by his sister MaryAnn Hale and her husband William T. Hale Sr. of Sharon, CT; a nephew, William T. Hale Jr. of Amenia, NY; and a nephew Christopher Michael Hale and his wife Tina of Sharon, CT.
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter Malarchuk and Gertrude (Filippini) Malarchuk.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
