Christine Valo

V. Christine Valo, 88, formerly of Brunswick, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had resided for the last five years. She was born on June 19, 1935 in West Virginia.

Christine worked for over 25 years at Barkley Home Products in Cohoes and then went to work in retail for the Answer in Cohoes Commons where she enjoyed making friends with her customers. She was a very social person. An avid swimmer both at home in the pool and for many years in Lake George where her and her late husband, Gus use to camp all summer.

Survivors include her son, David A. Valo, of Stillwater and her daughter, Deborah S. (Peter) Valo-Meskoskey, of South Carolina. Two grandchildren, Sierra L. Meskoskey and Adrienne Valo-Clark. Three great grandchildren, Jordan T. Valo, Cassidy & Gabriel Clark. She is also survived by her two brothers, Daniel & Wilbur Loftus and several nieces and nephews.

Christine was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Gustav Valo, her son, Ronald J. Valo and her siblings; Regina, Inez, Darrell, Buddy and Brenda.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville where she will be laid to rest with beloved husband.
