Christene Gladys Wheeler Finkle

Pine Plains, NY - Christine Gladys "Teen" Wheeler Finkle, 103, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

She was born on March 26, 1907 in Pine Plains, NY the daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Gardner) Wheeler.

Mrs. Finkle was a farmer's wife, homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

She was a long time member of the First Prebyterian Church in Pine Plains, NY.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Grace Mergendahl of Pine Plains, NY; a son, Melvin Finkle of Pine Plains, NY; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Finkle was predeceased by her husband, Russell in 1976, a son, Harold Finkle, two sisters, Helena and Isabel, four brothers, Nelson, Harry, Raymond and William.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.

Funeral services are 11 am on Friday, October 8, at the First United Presbyterian Church in Pine Plains, NY with Rev. Carol Miller officiating.

Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery Pine Plains, NY.
