Charles McKown Napoli, 85, of Pine Plains, NY passed away peacefully at Noble Horizons in Salisbury, CT on April 10, 2025 after a lengthy illness. He was born January 13, 1940 in NYC to Moretta McKown and Carl A. Napoli who predeceased him. Charlie was a graduate of Pine Plains Central School, Manhattan College, and Fordham University Law School. He started his law career as Assistant Attorney General for New York State; attorney for the New York State Division for Youth. After spending several years in California he returned to Pine Plains and went into private practice until his retirement. He is survived by his sisters Moretta (Matthew) Salvia and Jane Casazza, his nieces and nephews Joseph Salvia, Daniele (Luke) Braham, Jennifer (John) Blackburn, and Edward (Tiffany) Casazza. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews Matthew, Brandon, and Brooke Salvia; Joseph, Jacoby, and Giuliana Braham; Tessa and Luke Blackburn; Annalise and Edward Casazza. He was a member of Pine Plains Lions Club, International Order of Odd Fellows, Dutchess County Republican Committee, Dutchess County Bar Association, and New York State Bar Association.
There are no calling hours. A memorial mass and celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Thank you to Kenny and the staff at Noble Horizons for the care Charlie received while a resident there. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Plains Lions Club.
