Charles "Butch" Benansky of Copake, NY passed away on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late John and Jenny (Cussuttica) Benansky.
After graduating from Roeliff-Jansen Central School, he served his country as a member of the US Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War. He then went on to own and operate The Goodly Company, Inc. a trucking company that served the bulk cement industries in Westchester County. He loved Camaros, car racing and was passionate about the Boston Red Soxs.
Charles is survived by his spouse Nancy (Geyer) Benansky, two sons Chad Benansky and Heath Benansky, a daughter Brett Lee Benansky (Kevin Paige), two grandchildren Shyanne Benansky and Benjamin Benansky, a great-grandson Dominic Benansky and his beloved Pug 'side kick' Daisy Wu.
Calling hours will be at Peck & Peck, Route 22 Copake, New York on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm. This will be a casual dress event.
A Remembrance Celebration will be held at the discretion of the family.
