Cara Lynn Kernan

Hillsdale, NY - Cara Lynn Kernan, 47, passed away at home on Friday, February 17, 2017.

She was born on October 12, 1969 in Mt. Kisco, NY the daughter of Joseph and Rita (Brust) Iantorno Jr. of Bedford, NY.

Cara worked in several offices for Columbia County Department of Social Services in Hudson, NY.

She was a warm, caring and a fierce friend. She also had an unmatched love for all animals.

She was a member of the Hillsdale Fire Company and ladies auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her beloved children, Nicole R. Kernan, Marissa E. Kernan and Justin R. Kernan all of Copake, NY; an Aunt Patricia and Uncle Mike Iantorno; several cousins and former husband, Justin P. Kernan of Copake, NY.

Cara had a very special relationship with her late grandmother, Antoinette Iantorno.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake, NY.

Funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
