Benjamin Morey

WINGDALE - Benjamin Morey, Jr., 79, of Wingdale, NY, passed away at the Columbia New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY on Friday Feb. 4, 2011.
Born Sep. 14, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Benjamin and Belva (Finkle) Morey.
On March 7, 1953, he married Joan Camburn in Smithfield, NY. She survives him at home.
A longtime resident of Stamord, NY, Mr. Morey worked for the Pleasant Valley Soap Mill and the Ancram Paper Mill until his retirement in 1987.
He was an avid bowler.
In addition to his loving wife Joan, survivors include his son David Morey and his wife Sharon of Wingdale, NY; a grandson Mark Morey of Wingdale, NY; and many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Morey, and a sister, Emily Ryan.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
