Barbara N. Scutt

Chazy, NY - Barbara N. Scutt, 74, passed away on December 24, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY.

She was born on January 13, 1940, in Sharon, CT, the daughter of the late Floyd R. and Lena (Briggs) Funk Sr.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. The grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed shopping, bingo, oldies music, and doing word searches.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband Leon Scutt Sr. and second Husband Byron (Barney) Brill, siblings, Marjorie and Frank Drury, Floyd Funk Jr., a daughter Diane Scutt, and a sister Alma Kipp.

Survivors include her loving companion and friend Carl Munson of Chazy, NY; a sister Wanda Wheeler of Amenia NY; her children, Leon Scutt of Pleasant Valley, NY; Barbara Dayton (John) of Red Hook, NY; Cynthia Scutt of Hillsdale, NY; and Linda VanVoet (Rick) of Rigsby, FL; grandchildren, Paula Barto (Mike), April Gorman (Jim) of Dover Plains, NY; Susan Barto (Derrick) of Hinsdale, MA; Michael Barto, B.J. Dayton of Troy, NY; Rose Houghtaling of Chatham, NY; and Jessica and Melissa Scutt both of Pleasant Valley, NY; great grandchildren, Daniel, Jackson, Kierra, Chance, Leah, Autumn, Cassandra, Sherrie, and Marie. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 10 to 12 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12516.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Jackie Jefferson officiating.

Interment will follow directly in the Stanford Cemetery / Stanfordville, NY.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to Paula Barto, 362 Stetson Rd, Chazy, NY 12921 to help pay for remaining funeral costs or to be donated to an organization in Barbara's name.
