Andrew Russell Dietter, 67, of Ancramdale passed away unexpectedly at home on May 30, 2022. He was born on April 12, 1955 to the late Andrew Floyd Dietter and Carolyn (Hoystradt) Dietter.

Russell worked for 36 years at what is now, Schweitzer - Mauduit in Ancram. He enjoyed birdwatching and maintaining the family home. On May 24, 2000, he married Carol Sass. Together they spent over 40 years caring for each other. An avid New York Jets fan, who enjoyed coaching from the couch. When Russell wasn’t working, he could be found trout fishing and truly loved taking his grandson fishing.

Russell is survived by his loving wife Carol, his son and daughter in law, Jamie and Kathleen Dietter. His adoring grandson Evan Dietter. In addition to aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and offer condolences on Friday June 10, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main Street, Pine Plains. A graveside service will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
