Anna Rose Dalton

Anna Rose Dalton, 97 of Copake, NY passed away on Friday April 8, 2022 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.

Anna was born on February 17, 1925 in New York City the daughter of Gabriel and Anna (Rajkovic) Chrappa.

Mrs. Dalton  had been a full time resident of Copake since 1986 having been a part time resident since 1969. She previously resided in Tuckahoe, NY before moving to Eastchester where she raised her family.

She  was formerly employed by New York Telephone, “Ma Bell” and later worked for Westchester County as a switchboard operator until her retirement in 1986.

Anna  loved any and all in regards to friends and family. She had beautiful gardens and loved to solve the world’s problems while have a cocktail with her happy sister, “Mrs. Goetzel’s” Her favorite saying was “ Be the better person” and she truly lived her life that way.

On May 30 ^th 1954 she married Thomas J. Dalton and such a wonderful marriage it was. He pre deceased her in 1999 along with a son Tommy in 2019 and a son Bobby in January of 2022.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy and son Richard; grandchildren Robert, Stephanie, Helena and Debra and great grandchildren, Sophia and Danny.  She also leaves a daughter in law Trude Dalton and best friend Joyce.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 12:30 – 2:30 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22 in Copake NY.

Interment will be in Holy Mount Cemetery, Tuckahoe, NY.
