Allen W. Piester

Allen W. Piester, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3 at home in the loving care of his family.

He was born on December 24, 1949 in Great Barrington, Ma.

Allen graduated from Hudson High School in 1968 and then enlisted in the Navy, serving from 1969-1973.

In 1978 he married his former wife, Sally Piester and resided for 20 years in West Copake where they raised their two children.

Allen is survived by a daughter, Erin Benken and her husband Blair of Copake Falls, NY; a son Heath Piester of Great Barrington, Ma; one granddaughter, Elsa Benken; a brother, Leland Piester and his wife, Derenda of Fort Meade, Fl; two nephews, Bryan and Chad, and two nieces, Renee and Lauren and some life long friends. Allen was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Radcliffe of Corona, Ca.

An avid outdoorsman, he most enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and cooking.

There are no calling hours.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Copake NY.
