Alice J. Burdick

LOVED BOOKS A longtime resident of Copake Falls, Alice J. Burdick died Tuesday the 7th of June at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born in 1925 in New York City, Alice spent a very full life raising two children, enjoying life and helping others..

Alice's passion has always been reading, but she did so much more. As a Girl Scout leader, amateur artist, flower gardener and volunteer for "Meals on Wheels", she positively touched many lives.

Alice loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going out with friends and had a zest for life with a wonderful sense of humor that could light up a room.

She is survived by her two children, Kendall Burdick of Hillsdale, NY and Anne Cipkowski of Austerlitz, NY along with seven grandchildren.

Friends are invited to join family members for a time of remembrance on Thursday June 16, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY.

A private interment will be held in the Copake Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be offered to Community Hospice of Columbia - Greene, 47 Liberty St., Catskill NY 12414 or to the Community Rescue Squad, PO Box 327, Copake NY 12516.
