Albert M. Mcneil

Stanfordville - Albert R. "Bud" McNeil, 71, a longtime resident of Stanfordville, NY, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.

He was born on August 7, 1940 at the Torrington Hospital in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Elias Albert and Emily (Harris) McNeil.

On October 14, 1961 in Hyde Park, NY, he married Sandra L. Hall. She survives him at home.

Mr. McNeil worked as a tree climber and supervisor for the Dutchess County Department of Public Works for nearly thirty years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and country music. Bud was also a member of the Millerton Gun Club.

In addition to his loving wife Sandra, he is survived by his three children, Katherine L. McNeil of West Palm Beach, FL; Michael R. McNeil of Stanfordville, NY; and Melissa McNeil-Williams of Stanfordville, NY; 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Calvin, Mahcayla, Evelynn and Sydney; as well as a sister, Sally Pardee; and two brothers, Edmund McNeil and Seth McNeil.

He was predeceased by two sons, Albert Elias McNeil and Steven Allan McNeil; a brother, George McNeil, and three sisters, Madeline Connolley, Dorothy Roger and Betty McNeil.

Calling hours will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.

Funeral services will begin at 12 PM at the funeral home, with Fr. Michael Shafer of the Church of the Regeneration officiating.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
