Aida M. Burdick

Aida M. Burdick, 93 of Mt. View St. in Copake Falls, NY died on Monday April 11, 2011 at the Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philmont, NY.

She was born on December 18, 1917 in Philmont, the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Ogden.

She and her husband Parker owned and operated the Berkshire Brookside Farm in Copake Falls for a number of years before selling the farm in 1955. Mrs. Burdick was a charter member of the Copake Fire Auxiliary #2 and also served as the postal clerk in Copake Falls for over 20 years.

On October 28, 1937 she married Parker A. Burdick who pre deceased her on November 29, 2006. She was also pre deceased by her brother Edward Ogden Sr. and sister Liilian Babjeck.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Judith B. and Thomas A. Burns Sr. of Millerton, NY; a grandson and his wife, Thomas A. and Donna M. Burns Jr. of Hudson, NY along with two great grandaughters, Sarah E. Burns of Hudson and Jennifer J. Burns of Troy, NY. Additionally he leaves two nephews, Bruce Babjeck of Florida and Edward Ogden Jr. of Castleton, NY.

Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday April 13, 2011 from 10 - 11 AM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY.

Services will follow at 11AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the West Copake Cemetery.
