Stanley Rushkoski

Stanley Rushkoski, 93, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023 at Pine Haven Nursing Home. He was born on March 12, 1930 in Hudson to John and Frances Rushkoski. A graduate of Hudson High School’s class of 1948. The same year he enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably until 1952. On November 22, 1959,  Stanley married Maria Dominica Poletto in Hudson.  He began his career in banking at Hudson River Trust and through the mergers and transitions worked his way up to Vice President of  KeyBank in Copake. He was a known conversationalist who after retirement volunteered for hospice and was involved with the Young at Hearters alongside his wife.

Stanley loved spending time with his family which brought him much joy. He enjoyed gardening, paintings and was an avid baker & cookbook collector.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife Maria Rushkoski, his daughter Sandra Streeter and Michael. His four grandchildren; Gary (Adrianna) Bergin, Christopher (Nicole) Bergin, Jennifer (Billy) Maddox, and Michelle (Danny) Brennan. Ten great grandchildren. In addition to Stefanie Andors, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cat, Holly.

In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his son, Kevin Rushkoski, his brother John Rushkoski and three sisters; Caroline Morabito, Mary DeCrosta, and Bernice Rushkoski.

A time for sharing memories and offering condolences will be held on Sunday September 17, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 8063 Route 22, Copake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 from Our Lady of Hope Parish, Route 22, Copake Falls. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson, NY.
